Theresa used to have a life goal to travel the world, visiting new places every year with just a small bag and a sense of exploration. But after getting diagnosed with a chronic illness, her adventurous way of life came to a grinding halt. No more tasting new foods or seeing new horizons. No more spontaneous steps out of a hostel door. Now every detail of her life had to be planned and prepared in this new grounded normalcy.

While Theresa still found joys in her day-to-day life, she longed to reclaim her adventurous self. The discovery of campervan rentals amidst the COVID lockdowns enabled the possibility of travel again, but after years of living in caution and preparedness, Theresa was hesitant to take any risks. With the support of her optimistic husband Juan and their excitable lapdog Titan, Theresa took her first steps out to the California coastline. Each day spent on the road, Theresa tested her boundaries, stumbled over obstacles, but eventually learned to let go and rediscovered her passion for discovery.
